Today, as a selected finalist, I had an interview at the Guardian Newspaper for ‘The Joan Wakelin Bursary'. Out of four shortlisted finalists the picture editors led by Roger Tooth selected Anastasia Taylor-Lind as a winner. It was a great opportunity to meet some talented photographers and get some feedback from the editors. They stated my project (flooding in the Czech Republic) was the strongest, yet they were unsure how I could project it into one double spread image they design for the winner in the paper. Strangely and sadly, I had no idea they were looking for one strong image only. Congratulation to Anastasia for much deserved prize.

I have been invited by Social Stock picture agency to contribute my photographs. Socialstock is the new image library with a difference. All their images are shot specifically in the UK for the UK market and not overloaded with global images that are unsuitable for the UK based clients.
